Harvested from our tea fields in Yubune, Wazuka, the tea fields selected for gyokuro were covered for 23 days prior to harvesting.
By selecting only the youngest tea shoots, gyokuro is known for its strong umami taste. Furthermore, after brewing the tea leaves for your drink, you can also eat them as they are rich in nutrition.
The First Flush, usually in Spring, is also known as the first harvest of the season. Only the youngest and most tender shoots are harvested. We hope you feel the tranquility of Wazuka with each sip.
