Harvested from our tea fields in Yubune, Wazuka, the tea fields selected for Gyokuro were covered for 27 days prior to harvesting. Using the Gokou variety, the self that is used to shade the tea fields were also built by the team during Winter.
By selecting only the youngest tea shoots, Gyokuro is known for its strong umami taste. Furthermore, after brewing the tea leaves for your drink, you cann also eat them as they are rich in nutrition.

The First Flush, usually in Spring, is also known as the first harvest of the season. Only the youngest and most tender shoots are harvested. We hope you feel the tranquility of Wazuka with each sip.
