  • Matcha
    1. Each serving uses 2 g (~ 1 teaspoon) of matcha.

    2. Mix in 90 mL (1/3 cup) of 90˚C water.

    3. Whisk vigorously using a zigzag motion until the matcha is frothy.

  • Matcha Latte
    1. Use 3.5-4 g (~2 teaspoons) of matcha for latte powder

    2. Dissolve the powder in 2 teaspoons of boiling water

    3. Add 150 mL (2/3 cup) of hot or cold milk

    4. Add sugar or syrup as needed

  • Sencha
    1. Each serving uses 4 g of loose-leaf tea mixed with 150-180 mL (3/4 cup). The tea can be brewed multiple times which will result in slightly different flavors.

    2. First brew: use 60˚C water and brew for 2 min

    3. Second brew: use 70˚C water and brew for 5 sec (yes, seconds)

    4. Third brew: use 80˚C water and brew for 10 sec

    5. Fourth brew: use 100˚C water and brew for 10 sec

  • Sencha Cold Brew
    1. Use 15 g of Sencha for Cold Brew for each liter of water.

    2. The brew takes about 4 hours (or longer). You can brew it in the evening and leave it overnight in the refrigerator for a nice cup of cold brew in the morning.

  • Gyokuro
    1. Each serving uses 4 g of loose-leaf tea mixed with 150 mL (a little less than 3/4 cup). The tea can be brewed multiple times which will result in slightly different flavor.

    2. First brew: use 50˚C water and brew for 2 min

    3. Second brew: use 60˚C water and brew for 5 sec (yes, seconds)

    4. Third brew: use 70˚C water and brew for 10 sec

    5. Fourth brew: use 80˚C water and brew for 10 sec

  • Houjicha
    1. Put 4 g of houjicha leaves in 200 mL of boiling water for 1 min.

  • Genmaicha
    1. Put 6 g (3 teaspoons) in 200 mL of boiling water for 1 min

  • Japanese Black Tea
    1. Put 4 g of black tea leaves in 200 mL of boiling water for 1 min.

  • Tea Bags
    1. Put in tea bag in 200 mL (1 cup) of boiling water for about 1 min

    2. You can brew each tea bag twice
